A strip of towns and villages that are classified as viticultural that runs below the mountain range of Malé Karpaty form the Viticultural region of Malé Karpaty. Its size and significance make it the viticultural center of Slovakia.
The Wine Road of Malé Karpaty leads through the former royal towns Bratislava, Svätý Jur, Pezinok, and Modra, contiguous villages, and ends in Trnava. Apart from cultural and historic monuments visitors will be certainly intrigued by the tradition of varied folklore in individual communes of this region where they can have a nice time in numerous wine cellars tasting excellent dishes like a baked goose with a glass of fine local wine and listening to a popular band.
Itinerary
Our Guide will meet you at your hotel in Bratislava. In about 20 minutes by car, you will reach the Carpathian wine region.
At first, you will visit Red Stone Castle by Long – a guided tour (75 min.)
Also, you will visit how its made our Slovak Folk Majolica and you can try the production process by hand. (90 min.)
After we will transfer to the Wine Cellar where will be organized wine tasting. Before or during the wine tasting will be served a rich four-course lunch.
Wine tasting consists of 6 samples of wines (3 white, 1 rosé, 2 red wine)
About 4 pm we will depart back to Bratislava or your hotel.
