HIGH TATRA MOUNTAINS

The lowest among the world´s highest mountain ranges and the highest mountain in Slovakia. It is our first national park and together with the Polish part of the Tatras it was, as part of UNESCO, declared the Biosphere Reserve Tatry.

Štrbské Pleso used to break the ice and, because of its unique purity, import it to Budapest and Vienna. Rocky peaks – the highest peak of the Tatras as well as Slovakia is Gerlachovský štít with an altitude of 2655m above sea level, deep glacial valleys, moraines, lakes – Skalnaté Pleso, Veľké Hincovo Pleso, Popradské Pleso, waterfalls, with tourist resorts and surrounding historical sights, are irresistible attractions all year long. Kriváň Peak is a symbol of Slovakia.

Its angled top makes frequent appearances in all publications about Slovakia. Kriváň is 2494 meters and located in the western part of the High Tatras mountain range. It was exploited for mining in the 15th-18th centuries. The Evangelic priest Cirbes along with his friends made one of the first hikes to Kriváň in 1772.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN BRATISLAVA

Arrival at the airport, meeting with the local, guide, transfer to the hotel*** in Bratislava, welcome drink. Overnight.

DAY 2 – TOUR OF BRATISLAVA, THE CAPITAL CITY

After breakfast tour of Bratislava and its historical monuments, a visit to the most important places of the city, lunch in a restaurant, departure to Liptovský Ján in central Slovakia, and accommodation in a hotel*** in Liptovský Ján valley

DAY 3 – LOW TATRA MOUNTAINS

After breakfast transfer to the resort Jasná in the Low Tatras, visit/short hike tour in Jasná, lunch own arrangements, departure to the Demänovská cave of Freedom, guided visit of the cave, return back to Liptovský Ján, overnight

DAY 4 – AQUAPARK GINOPARADISE BEŠEŇOVÁ

After breakfast departure to the village of Bešeňová, an all-day-long visit of the Ginoparadise Bešeňová aquapark with thermal water, lunch own arrangements, return back to Liptovský Ján, overnight

DAY 5 – HIGH TATRA MOUNTAINS

After breakfast departure to the resort of Tatranská Lomnica, a guided tour in the High Tatras – Skalnaté Pleso, Lomnické Sedlo, Lomnický peak, lunch own arrangements, return back to Liptovský Ján, overnight

DAY 6 – ORAVA CASTLE, RAFTING ON THE RIVER ORAVA

After breakfast departure to Zuberec, visit the Museum of Orava Village, departure to Oravský Podzámok, a guided visit to the Orava Castle, lunch, rafting on the Orava river, return back to Liptovský Ján, overnight

DAY 7 – DEPARTURE

After breakfast check out and depart.
