TATRA Mountains - Pearl of Slovakia

The Low Tatras is a mountain range of the Inner Western Carpathians in central Slovakia. It is located south of the Tatras proper, from which it is separated by the valleys of the Váh and Poprad rivers (the Liptov-Spiš abasement). The valley formed by the Hron River is situated south of the Low Tatras range. The ridge runs west-eastwards and is about 80 km long.

Tourism is very popular in the Tatras. During the winter there are several ski resorts in Low Tatras, for example, Jasná, Mýto pod Ďumbierom, and Tále. Not only are these hubs of hiking and cross-country skiing trails, but Jasna is the largest ski resort in Central Europe.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN KOŠICE

Arrival in Košice, meeting with the local guide, transfer to the hotel, welcome drink. We are able to organize private transport for individuals or groups. We also provide information about the possibilities of national transport, bus and train, and passenger transport.

DAY 2 – KOŠICE - LIPTOVSKÝ JÁN, LOW TATRA MOUNTAINS

After breakfast guided tour of Košice and its historical monuments, visit the most important places of the city, lunch in a restaurant, in the afternoon departure to Liptovský Ján in the Low Tatra mountains, check in at the hotel*** in Liptovský Ján, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 – LOW TATRA MOUNTAINS

After breakfast transfer to the Jasná resort in the Low Tatras, tour by a cable lift, lunch-own arrangements, departure to Demänovská cave of Freedom, visit of the cave, return back to Liptovský Ján, dinner, and overnight

DAY 4 – GINOPARADISE BEŠEŇOVÁ

After breakfast depart to the nearby village of Bešeňová. All-day long stay at the aquapark Ginoparadise Bešeňová with thermal water. Lunch – own arrangements. Return back to Liptovský Ján, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 5 – HIGH TATRA MOUNTAINS

After breakfast departure to Tatranská Lomnica and visit of the High Tatras – Skalnaté Pleso,Lomnické Sedlo, Lomnický Štít, Lunch – own arrangements, Return back to Liptovský Ján, dinner and overnight

DAY 6 – ORAVA CASTLE, RAFTING ON THE ORAVA RIVER

After breakfast departure to northern Slovakia, to the village of Zuberec, visit of the open-air museum of Orava Village, departure to Oravský Podzámok and guided visit of the Orava Castle, Lunch in a local restaurant, departure for the rafting on the Orava river, return back to Liptovský Ján, dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 – DEPARTURE

After breakfast check out and depart.
